High-Performance Punch Mold Components Integral Cavity Molds and Combined Cavity Die Components

Application Field

There are two types of cavity molds as described below:

  1. Integral Cavity Die
This type of cavity is machined from a single piece of metal material. It is characterized by a simple structure, high strength, good rigidity, and resistance to deformation. Additionally, there are no traces of stitching in the combination of small punch components. It is suitable for small and medium-sized components with simple shapes.

  2. Combination of Cavity Mold Components
For components with complex shapes, a combined cavity is often used to enhance processing technology, reduce thermal treatment deformation, and conserve high-quality steel material. The combined cavity has various structural forms, facilitating both processing and replacement after wear. This type of component is primarily used for large and complex molds.

Product Details — Carbide Cavity Molds

  1. Surface Roughness: RZ ~ 0.2 µm / F1.0 mm/min
  2. Accuracy: ±0.001 mm
  3. Customization: Fully customizable. There is no standard stock for this series of products; only non-standard orders are accepted. Please attach CAD or 3D drawings to your inquiry. Thank you!
  4. Suitable Materials: Tungsten carbide, ceramic, and HSS, with properties as outlined below:
MaterialMaterial Properties
CarbideCemented carbide is a powder metallurgical composite made of hard material phases (e.g., tungsten carbide) and a binding material (e.g., cobalt). It is extremely hard, characterized by high wear resistance and thermal stability. It is used in various fields that require wear-resistant tools or components. Compared to die steel, it is more challenging to machine and has a higher material cost, but its service life is often several times longer.
CeramicCeramic materials exhibit excellent high-temperature resistance and are crucial for applications operating continuously at temperatures from 180 °C to over 1200 °C. Compared to metallic materials, oxide ceramics are highly resistant to chemical attack, especially in acidic and alkaline environments. Common types include alumina, zirconia, silicon carbide, and silicon nitride ceramics.
HSSHigh-speed steel (HSS) offers superior abrasion resistance and toughness for general use. It is primarily employed in small batch production or in fields with high material toughness requirements.
