Epoxy resin is not only the primary part of the main insulation, but also its mechanical support. Its electric field distribution is better than various forms of insulation diaphragm structure.

The embedded pole has the following advantages:

In the past, the insulating shell of vacuum interrupter was exposed to the air, which was polluted by dust and humidity. In order to reduce this effect, the shell of the vacuum interrupter is required to have enough length, which not only affects the miniaturization of the vacuum interrupter, but also affects the performance and reliability of the vacuum interrupter.
Compared with the insulating cylinder, the number of parts of the embedded pole is greatly reduced. The overlapping surface of the conductor is reduced from 6 groups to 3 groups, and the number of connecting bolts is reduced from 8 to 1-3. The simple structure greatly improves the reliability of the vacuum circuit breaker. Because the vacuum interrupter is embedded in the solid material, no further treatment is needed, and the embed pole can achieve high insulation strength. It is more conducive to the miniaturization design of vacuum circuit breaker and switchgear. When the vacuum interrupter is embedded in the solid material, the influence of the external environment on the vacuum interrupter is minimized.
