detailed description
The tensioner acts on the timing belt or timing chain of the engine
to guide and tighten it, so that it is always in the best tension
state. Generally divided into hydraulic and mechanical methods,
they can automatically adjust the tension of the timing belt and
timing chain. Driven by the timing belt or timing chain, the
camshaft drives the valve to open and close at the correct time,
and cooperates with the piston to complete the four processes of
intake, compression, power and exhaust. Because the timing belt and
timing chain will jump when running at medium and high speed, and
the timing belt will be elongated and deformed due to the material
and force of the belt in long-term use, resulting in inaccurate
valve timing. Thereby causing failures such as fuel consumption,
powerlessness, and knocking of the vehicle. When there are too many
jumping teeth, because the valve opens too early or closes too
late, it will also cause the valve and the upward piston to collide
and damage the engine. In order to keep the proper tension of the
timing belt and timing chain, that is, not to skip the teeth due to
being too loose or to be damaged due to being too tight, there is a
special tensioning system, which consists of tensioners and
tensioning pulleys or Rail composition. The tensioner provides
pressure directed at the belt or chain, the tensioner pulleys are
in direct contact with the timing belt, and the guide rails are in
direct contact with the timing chain, and they run with the belt or
chain while applying the tensioner-provided pressure to it , so
that they maintain the appropriate degree of tension.
