Steel angle, also named angle iron, or steel angle bar, is
basically manufactured by hot-rolled carbon steel or high strength
low alloy steel. It has L-cross shaped section with two legs -
equal or unequal and the angle would be 90 degree.
How strong is angle steel?
Thanks to the 90-degree bend, angle iron is extremely strong along
its length, and resists bending. It can easily support larger loads
than similar thicknesses of flat steel and it is much stronger than
wood or many composites pound for pound.
