Rare earth magnets are the most powerful permanent magnets ever
made. They are composed of samarium cobalt magnetic material and
can be coated with nickel, copper and nickel, which are extremely
resistant to corrosion. They are magnetized by thickness.
One Sm atom and five Co atoms combine to form one SmCo5 atom. Two
Sm atoms and seventeeen Co atoms combine to form one Sm2Co17 atom.
Their maximum magnetic energy products are SmCo5(25 MGOe), Sm2Co17
(32 MGOe) respectively. Their reversible temp coefficient are
SmCo5(- 0.05% / ℃), Sm2Co17(- 0.03% / ℃)
The specific proportion is Sm: 23-28%; Rare earth metal Cobalt: 48-52%; Metallic element Fe: 14-17%; Metal element Cu: 5-7%; A small amount of Zr: 2-3% was added.
