Product Introduction:

The heavy-duty surface box is specifically designed for valves and gate valves installed in bituminous traffic areas subject to heavy loads. Its adjustable drawing ring allows for a wide range of height adjustments. As the surface is compacted, a bond forms between the drawing ring and the asphalt.
The box features an integrated threaded ring that can be adjusted on-site, creating a secure connection between the drawing ring and the threaded ring. This ensures that the load is effectively transferred from the drawing ring to the threaded ring. The traffic load is then distributed to the base box through this connection, allowing the load to be evenly spread to the base plate and subsequently into the road’s subgrade. This design merges the benefits of both rolling-in boxes and rigid surface boxes.
Additionally, the angled seating of the cover and box diminishes the likelihood of rattling noises compared to traditional surface boxes. The cover is coated with epoxy powder to prevent contact corrosion and to facilitate easy removal. It is attached to the box using a positioning pin with a cotter and shim. The drawing ring also includes a directional arrow for guidance.

Manufacturing Process:

Material Preparation: High-quality pig iron and scrap iron are melted together, with magnesium added to create a ductile iron alloy.

Casting: The molten iron is poured into molds to form the basic shape of the manhole cover. Sand casting is a common method due to its precision and efficiency.

Heat Treatment: The cast pieces are treated with heat to improve strength and flexibility.

Surface Coating: Anti-corrosive coatings are applied to ensure longevity in various environments.

Quality Control: Each cover undergoes rigorous testing for load-bearing capacity, tensile strength, and dimensional accuracy.
