Manufacturing Process
Material Preparation: High-quality pig iron and scrap iron are melted together, with magnesium added to create a ductile iron alloy.
Casting: The molten iron is poured into molds to form the basic shape of the manhole cover. Sand casting is a common method due to its precision and efficiency.
Heat Treatment: The cast pieces are treated with heat to improve strength and flexibility.
Surface Coating: Anti-corrosive coatings are applied to ensure longevity in various environments.
Quality Control: Each cover undergoes rigorous testing for load-bearing capacity, tensile strength, and dimensional accuracy
