Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) waterproof membranes are innovative in the waterproofing field. Made mainly from PVC resin, they incorporate several additives for enhanced performance.
Plasticizers increase flexibility, allowing the membrane to adapt to different surfaces. Anti - aging agents protect against environmental degradation, extending the membrane's lifespan. Fillers modify physical properties like strength and stiffness, while stabilizers prevent resin decomposition during manufacturing and use. UV absorbers shield the membrane from sunlight damage, and lubricants ease the manufacturing process.
These membranes are produced through either extrusion, where the
resin - additive mix is forced through a die for high - speed
production, or calendering, which uses heated rollers to create a
thin, accurately dimensioned membrane with a good surface finish.
PVC waterproof membranes are a reliable waterproofing solution for
various construction and infrastructure applications.
