1. Flexible and bendable
2. Large size and width
3. Extremely low surface roughness
Advantages:
1. Increase the contact area between the gas diffusion layer and
the membrane electrode to reduce the contact resistance.
2. Reduce surface spikes, prevent puncturing of membrane
electrodes, and improve the lifespan of membrane electrodes.
Application:
AEM nickel powder felt diffusion layer is used to promote the
electrochemical reaction of gas. The conductive layer is a layer
connecting the catalyst layer and the electrode substrate. It has
good conductivity and can effectively transfer electrons to the
electrode substrate. The nickel powder felt gas diffusion layer
plays the role of transferring gas and liquid, and has good gas
diffusion performance and liquid permeability. The nickel powder
felt gas diffusion electrode is characterized by a large surface
area and high catalytic activity. Due to the presence of the
catalyst, the gas diffusion electrode can realize the
electrochemical reaction of the gas at a lower temperature and
pressure, and improve the efficiency and rate of the reaction. In
addition, the nickel powder felt gas diffusion electrode also has
good stability and corrosion resistance, and can operate stably for
a long time in a complex environment.
PEM hydrogen production anode diffusion layer GDL
The anode diffusion layer is used for mass transfer of O2 and H2O
in environments with high potential and acidity, requiring coatings
with good corrosion resistance. The porous transport layer is
located between the catalytic layer and the bipolar plate, serving
as a pathway for water supply, gas emission, and electron
transport, directly affecting the concentration polarization and
Ohmic polarization of the water electrolysis reaction. The porous
transport layer should have a rich continuous pore structure that
is conducive to the diffusion and transfer of water and
precipitated gases, as well as good conductivity to reduce Ohmic
polarization. The anode side porous transport layer is generally
made of corrosion-resistant titanium porous material in high
potential acidic environments, and its surface can be treated with
precious metal coating to reduce contact resistance and service
life.
