Storage capacity
TF cards can be divided into different standards according to the
storage capacity to adapt to different needs:
- MicroSD: With a maximum capacity of 2GB and below, it is usually used to
store smaller files and applications.
- MicroSDHC (High Capacity) : The capacity ranges from 4GB to 32GB. Microsdhc is commonly used
in devices such as smartphones and cameras.
- MicroSDXC (eXtended Capacity) : Capacity ranges from 32GB to 2TB (64GB, 128GB, 256GB in most
mainstream products today), suitable for storing large numbers of
high-definition pictures, videos, and large applications.
- MicroSDUC (Ultra Capacity) : A capacity greater than 2TB, usually used for large data storage
requirements.
Speed class
The transmission speed of TF card is one of the core
characteristics of its performance, and different types of TF card
have different read and write speeds, which affect its performance
in various devices. The speed of the TF card can be marked by the
speed level, common speed levels are:
Class 2, 4, 6, 10:
- Class 2: Minimum write speed of 2MB/s, suitable for low-demand devices.
- Class 4: Minimum write speed of 4MB/s, suitable for normal HD video
recording and lighter file operations.
- Class 6: Minimum write speed of 6MB/s, suitable for higher demand HD video
recording.
- Class 10: The minimum write speed of 10MB/s is the standard used by most
consumer devices today and is suitable for 1080p HD video
recording, large application installation and high-resolution photo
storage.
