S32205 Duplex Stainless Steel Bar 2205 Duplex Steel Plate Smooth Bar
2205 Duplex Stainless Steel Introduction:
The yield strength of 2205 duplex stainless steel is more than
double that of regular austenitic stainless steel, a property that
allows designers to reduce weight when designing products, making
this alloy more affordable than 316,317L.
This alloy is particularly suitable for temperatures ranging from
-50°F/+600°F. This alloy can also be considered for applications
beyond this temperature range, but there are some limitations,
especially when applied to welded structures.
2205 is a unique duplex stainless steel material that offers
outstanding performance and a wide range of applications. The
material is rich in composition and is mainly composed of elements
such as chromium, nickel, molybdenum and nitrogen.
Compared to other stainless steel materials, the composite
structure of 2205 gives it higher strength, better corrosion
resistance and better processing performance.
As an important stainless steel material, 2205 has a wide range of
applications. It can be used in the manufacture of chemical
reactors, pipelines and heat exchangers at high temperature and
high pressure, as well as in the manufacture of various crude oil
and natural gas processing equipment.
In addition, 2205 can also be used in areas such as building and
bridge structures, marine engineering, and aerospace.
Compared to other stainless steel materials, 2205 has many
advantages. First of all, its duplex structure gives it higher
strength and better corrosion resistance.
Secondly, the composition of 2205 can be adjusted to achieve better
mechanical properties and corrosion resistance. In addition, 2205
has improved weldability and processability. All these advantages
make the 2205 a standout among stainless steel materials.
Chemical composition is (%):
