Inconel601 alloy rod NS313 alloy round steel Alloy601 seamless pipe Size can be customized.
Inconel 601 is a nickel-chromium-iron based solid solution strengthened alloy with excellent high temperature performance, oxidation resistance, corrosion resistance and good mechanical properties. Its main chemical components include nickel (Ni), chromium (Cr), iron (Fe), aluminum (Al), manganese (Mn), etc., among which the nickel content is usually between 58.0%-63.0%, the chromium content is between 21.0%-25.0%, iron exists as a residual element, the aluminum content is between 1.0%-1.7%, and the manganese content does not exceed 1.0%.
Inconel 601 is an alloy material. It has excellent oxidation resistance at high temperature, good carburization resistance, good oxidation resistance in sulfur-containing atmosphere, good mechanical properties at room temperature and high temperature, and good stress corrosion cracking resistance. Due to the control of carbon content and grain size, 601 has higher creep rupture strength, so it is recommended to use 601 in areas above 500℃.

Chemical characteristics
1. Excellent oxidation resistance at high temperature
2. Good carburization resistance
3. Good oxidation resistance in sulfur-containing atmosphere
4. Good mechanical properties at room temperature and high
temperature
5. Good resistance to stress corrosion cracking Due to the control
of carbon content and grain size, 601 has a high creep rupture
strength, so 601 is recommended for use in areas above 500℃.
Inconel 601 metallographic structure:
601 is a face-centered cubic lattice structure.
Inconel 601 corrosion resistance:
An important property of 601 alloy is that it can resist oxidation
at temperatures as high as 1180℃. Even under very harsh conditions,
such as heating and cooling cycles, 601 can form a dense oxide film
and obtain high spalling resistance. 601 has good carburization
resistance. Due to its high chromium and aluminum content, 601 has
good oxidation resistance in high-temperature sulfur-containing
atmospheres.
Performance characteristics
High temperature oxidation resistance: Inconel 601 exhibits
excellent oxidation resistance at high temperatures, and can
maintain good oxidation resistance even in harsh environments with
temperatures as high as 1180°C. This is due to its high chromium
and aluminum content, which enables it to play a good antioxidant
role in high-temperature sulfur-containing atmospheres.
Corrosion resistance: The alloy has good corrosion resistance to
corrosive media such as acids, alkalis, and salts, especially in
sulfur-containing and chlorine-containing environments. It can form
a stable oxide film in high-temperature air to prevent further
erosion by oxygen.
Mechanical properties: Inconel 601 has good mechanical properties
and stress corrosion cracking resistance at both room temperature
and high temperature. Its tensile strength is about 600MPa, yield
strength is about 240MPa, elongation is about 35%, and hardness is
generally between HB160~200.
Creep resistance: Under high temperature and long-term stress,
Inconel 601 has good creep resistance and can effectively resist
deformation and damage of the material.
Application fields
Due to the excellent performance of Inconel 601, it is widely used
in many fields:
Aerospace: used to manufacture high-temperature structural parts
such as gas turbine components and rocket engine components.
Chemical equipment: used to manufacture high-temperature
reactors, heaters, heat exchangers and other equipment, which can
work for a long time in corrosive media.
Electric power industry: used to manufacture combustion chambers
and exhaust gas treatment equipment of coal-fired power plants,
which can work under high temperature and high pressure
environments.
Metallurgical industry: used for high-temperature process
equipment such as high-temperature furnace linings and furnace
tubes, with good thermal shock resistance.
