4. Working principle
The chromium oxide smelting electric arc furnace mainly relies on
three-phase AC power supply for operation. The current is
transmitted to the electrode system stably and accurately through a
carefully designed power supply system. Electrodes are usually made
of high-purity graphite material because under extreme conditions
of high temperature and high current, graphite electrodes can
continuously and stably conduct current, ensuring long-term stable
combustion of the arc. Throughout the entire smelting process, with
the help of a high-precision electrode lifting control system, the
system quickly and flexibly adjusts the electrode position based on
real-time reaction conditions, temperature changes, and arc power
fluctuations in the furnace, thereby accurately controlling the arc
length and achieving precise control over the size and distribution
of heat input into the furnace. This meets the strict temperature
requirements of each stage in the chromium oxide smelting process,
ensuring that the melted products have stable and excellent quality
and performance.
5. Structural design
Ultra high temperature resistant furnace body: The overall
structure of the furnace body is compact and sturdy, and the shell
is made of specially customized high-quality heat-resistant
stainless steel. This stainless steel not only efficiently resists
high temperature radiation and prevents heat loss, but also has
strong corrosion resistance, greatly extending the overall service
life of the equipment.
Precise and stable electrode system: Three carefully crafted
electrodes are arranged in an equilateral triangle, vertically
passing through the furnace cover and penetrating deep into the
core reaction area inside the furnace. The electrode is closely
connected to a specially customized high-efficiency furnace
transformer, which stably and efficiently transmits electrical
energy to the electrode through low resistance, high current
carrying capacity cables and water-cooled conductive tubes. The
electrode holder adopts high-precision design, which not only
firmly and accurately clamps the electrode, ensuring that the
electrode will not shift under high temperature and high current
conditions, but also has good conductivity and heat dissipation
performance, effectively ensuring the stable operation of the
electrode under extreme working conditions.
Intelligent and flexible control system: The chromium oxide melting
arc furnace is equipped with an advanced mechanical control system
to meet the convenience and precision requirements of chromium
oxide melting operations. There are three high-precision electrode
supports installed on one side of the furnace body, each supporting
a high-resolution electrode lifting column. The lifting column is
equipped with a flexible horizontal electrode cross arm, and the
water-cooled electrode clamp at the end of the cross arm can
quickly respond to control system instructions and accurately
adjust the electrode position. The electrode lifting column can
capture subtle changes in the arc power inside the furnace in real
time. Under the precise instructions of the intelligent automatic
control system, the electrode position can be quickly and
accurately adjusted to maintain the stability of the arc length and
ensure that the arc power input into the furnace remains constant
throughout the entire melting process, meeting the strict
requirements for temperature stability in chromium oxide melting.
