C68700 is widely used in heat exchangers for marine engines, desalination plants, and other offshore systems. It offers high resistance to seawater corrosion, biofouling, and erosion, making it ideal for cooling systems in ships, submarines, and offshore platforms.

The alloy is used in the cooling systems of power plants, especially those that use seawater or brackish water for cooling purposes. It is resistant to the corrosive effects of the environment and can handle high-temperature gradients.

Copper-nickel alloys like C68700 are used in desalination systems for their excellent resistance to saltwater corrosion. They are used in heat exchangers and other critical components where fresh water is produced from seawater.
