Customizability Water Treatment System - Ultraviolet Sterilizer
1 . Descriptions:
UV sterilizers typically use low-pressure mercury lamps, medium-pressure mercury lamps, or UV LED lamps to produce UV light. These lamps emit a specific wavelength of UV light, usually 254 nm, when an electric current is passed through them, as this wavelength has a strong damaging effect on the DNA and RNA of microorganisms. The water, air, or surface to be treated passes around the UV lamps or through the UV irradiation zone. In a pure water treatment system, this process is essential for ensuring that harmful pathogens are effectively neutralized.
The UV light penetrates the cell walls of the microorganisms and reaches their internal structures. UV light, especially UV-C photons, can be absorbed by the DNA and RNA of microbial cells, causing them to form thymine dimers. This damage interferes with the DNA/RNA replication process, rendering the microorganism incapable of reproduction or leading directly to its death. Consequently, after UV treatment, microorganisms in water, air, or on surfaces are effectively killed, resulting in disinfection, which is critical in a pure water treatment system.
Incorporating UV sterilization into a pure water treatment system enhances the overall quality of the water by ensuring that all microorganisms are effectively removed. This step is vital for producing high-quality purified water, meeting health and safety standards for various applications. Thus, UV sterilizers are an integral part of any pure water treatment system, significantly improving water safety and quality.
