Scanning modules are also known as barcode scanning modules (or
scanning engines, scanning heads).
Scanning modules can be classified by function into:
one-dimensional barcode scanning modules (laser scanning modules),
two-dimensional barcode scanning modules, and CCD scanning modules.
Differences:
One-dimensional barcode scanning modules: These are used to scan
one-dimensional barcodes and paper barcodes.
Two-dimensional barcode scanning modules: These can scan
one-dimensional barcodes, two-dimensional barcodes, barcodes
displayed on mobile phone screens, and QR codes displayed on mobile
phone screens.
CCD scanning modules: These can scan one-dimensional barcodes,
paper barcodes, and barcodes displayed on mobile phones.
Based on their appearance, scanning modules can be further
categorized into embedded scanning modules, fixed scanning modules,
and bare modules.
Scanning modules are primarily installed in various devices, such
as body temperature monitoring terminals, access control and smart
card systems, vending machines, self-checkout systems, and so on.
