Large petrochemical storage tanks are usually constructed by
lifting and flipping. The key to the inversion process is the
lifting of the tank body, and there are many types of specific
processes and supporting equipment.
This paper mainly introduces the use of electric hoist group
lifting inversion method in the manufacture of large storage tanks,
using a new type of electric hoist as lifting equipment, and adding
a fine-tuning circuit in the control system. The system has the
advantages of smooth lifting, good synchronization, fast
construction speed, low equipment cost, high efficiency, good
safety self-locking function, easy installation quality control and
so on. In the construction of large storage tank, this construction
method has high popularization and application value.

Electric hoist flip method lifting storage tank scheme
N sets of 5T-3M electric chain hoist are used in the storage tank.
The maximum use of the 5-ton electric chain hoist is 60% of the
maximum tonnage, that is, no more than 3 tons. The maximum travel
of the electric chain hoist is 3 meters (the length can be
customized).
First, make the top first circle plate of the tank on the bottom
plate, install the expansion ring on the first circle plate, the
bottom surface of the expansion ring is about 200mm from the bottom
edge of the first circle plate, and use a spiral jack to tighten
the expansion ring on the first circle plate; Install lifting
columns 400mm away from the inner wall of the tank, and arrange N
lifting columns evenly around the inner circumference of the tank
wall. Use two pull rods to make an eight-figure diagonal bracing
support between the upper end of the column and the bottom plate of
the tank, and then pull the two adjacent lifting columns together
with pull rods to form a whole circle. Weld a lifting ear on the
corresponding expansion ring of the lifting column. Weld a stop
block on the tank wall at the upper end of the expansion ring to
block the expansion ring, hang the electric chain on the lifting
column on the top of the lifting lug, the hook of the electric
hoist is hooked on the lifting lug of the expansion ring, install
all the electric hoist in turn, connect the power cord of all the
electric hoist to the total control table, the total control table
can separately control each electric hoist, It can also be unified
centralized synchronous control of all electric hods, turn on the
total power supply, and then pre-tighten each electric hods, check
whether the force of all electric hods is uniform, check whether
all the lifting points are normal, if everything is normal, it can
be lifted. The total console is adjusted to centralized control,
and the overall rise button is connected, so that all the electric
hods will rise together. If the electric hods do not make force
during the rise, the total console needs to be converted to
separate control, the loose electric hods are re-pre-tight and then
the overall lift, until the elevation is raised to the specified
height, and finally the height of the lift is adjusted by separate
adjustment, and then the coaming board, After welding the vertical
seam and welding the stop block, then lower all the electric hoist
as a whole, so that the first circle plate falls back to the second
circle plate on the circumference, so that the overall lifting of
the first circle plate is completed; After the ring seam welding is
completed, loosen the expansion ring, use the electric hoist to
lower the whole expansion ring to the specified height of the
second ring plate, and then prepare for the next lift.
