Description:
This micrometer head with measurement up to 13mm, total length is
61mm. Its carbide-tipped spindle is exceptionally flat,
accurate, and durable. The ratchet thimble mechanism provides an
even, constant force.
As one adjustable positioning device, micrometer head can be
adjusted down to the micrometer. The essence of the differential
head is to use the principle of gears to convert the rotation of
rotational motion into linear insertion and exit movements.
It uses two gears of different diameters for a third moment
differential action that converts subtle changes in rotation into
linear
insertion and exit movements, enabling precise control of small
distances.

Precautions:
1. Precise calibration of the differential head: The calibration of
the differential head should be performed prior to use.
Using about 1/10 of the range of an ordinary dial gauge, turn the
differential head during the reading process to see
if the reading can be repeated. If so, the micrometer head is
working properly; If not, precise calibration is required.
2. Set the appropriate measurement range: Before measuring, you
should choose the appropriate measurement range,
usually 0-5mm,0-6.5mm, 0-13mm, 0-15mm, 0-25mm or 0-50mm, etc.
Choosing the right range can help improve the precision
and accuracy of your measurements.
3.Correct Measurement Process :
Try to keep the micromotion head perpendicular to the measuring
object.
After touching the object, carefully feel the contact between the
micro-moving head and the measured object to avoid uneven force.
Once it is confirmed that the contact with the object to be
measured is truly stable, the reader should read in a vertical
direction
to avoid deviations due to incorrect angles of the reader.
Applications:
1. Optics: micrometer heads are used in the production and
inspection equipment of disc reading lenses such as DVDs, MDs,
and CDs, as well as writable optical heads, to provide the critical
precision control especially on curved positioning platforms.
2. Liquid crystal projection technology: micrometer head plays an
important role in the prismatic positioning and film loading
process,
ensuring the clarity and accurate focus of the image.
3.Fiber Optic Technology & Optical Communications: micrometer
head ensures the accuracy of signal transmission in the
manufacturing
and testing equipment of fiber optic positioning and optical
communication system products.
4.Liquid crystal production and inspection: In the liquid crystal
display manufacturing process, micrometer head is used to adjust
and test the equipment with high precision.
5. Semiconductor industry: micrometer heads are widely used in
semiconductor production equipment and inspection
and evaluation equipment to ensure the accuracy of the process.
6.Mechanical engineering and industrial applications: micrometer
heads are often used for the adjustment of machine tools,
precision tools and special gages, especially where an accuracy of
thousandths of a millimeter is required, e.g. with carbide probes,
which can be straight or rotary, with options flat or spherical,
with or without locking function to maintain a constant measuring
force.
