EASONY 2205 stainless steel bar is a high-performance material
known for its excellent mechanical properties and resistance to
corrosion. It is a duplex stainless steel, meaning it has a
two-phase microstructure consisting of both austenitic and ferritic
stainless steel, which provides a combination of desirable
characteristics from both types.
Key Properties of 2205 Stainless Steel:
- Corrosion Resistance:
Excellent resistance to stress corrosion cracking.
Superior pitting and crevice corrosion resistance compared to 316L
and 317L stainless steels in most environments.
- Mechanical Strength:
High yield strength (approximately twice that of standard
austenitic stainless steels like 304 and 316).
Good fatigue strength and impact toughness.
- Temperature Performance:
Retains strength and toughness at both elevated and sub-zero
temperatures.
Suitable for applications up to around 300°C (572°F).
- Weldability:
Generally good weldability, but care must be taken to avoid thermal
cracking.
Post-weld heat treatment is recommended for some critical
applications to ensure optimal properties.
