1. Products Overview
The principle of a closed-loop stepper motor is to achieve accurate
position and speed control by adding the position feedback encoders
on the regular stepper motor.
The working principle of the closed-loop step motor is similar to
the open loop stepper motor. The key difference is that the
closed-loop stepper motor is equipped with the encoder, which is to
monitor the actual position of the motor rotor in real time, and
feedback this information to the controller. The controller
compares the actual and target positions, and then adjust the motor
movement to ensure that it works as expected. This closed -loop
control method makes the stepper motor more accurately.
Working principle:
The working principle of the closed loop step into the motor is similar to the regular stepper motor, and the difference is that there is a position feedback by encoder, which enables higher accuracy and higher torque, lower vibration etc.
Compared with the traditional open loop stepper motor, the closed -loop step has the following advantages:
1. Compared with the open-loop step motor, the closed-loop step motor does not lose steps or can be easily corrected. It can ensure the accurate positioning of the motor, reduce the motor vibration, and run more stable.
2. Compared with the servo motor, the closed-loop step motor does not require complex parameter adjustment, such as gain adjustment etc., which is more convenient to use. It does not vibrate at high speed, and is stable at zero speed, and the position response is fast. It is suitable for short distance fast start and stop occasions. It provides higher torque with smaller installation size.
3. The closed-loop step into the motor improves the high speed performance of the moto with higher torque.
4. The closed-loop motor effectively reduces the heat generated by the motor, as the drive output current changes as the load and speed change.
5. The closed-loop motor has fasten response time. The output of the position response and the input control signal are almost synchronized in real time, so it is especially suitable for the applications which needs zero speed stop, fast start and stop within short distance.
6. Closed-loop step motor runs more smoothly and has higher accuracy. It uses vector control and advanced filtering technology to achieve better performance.
Application:
The closed-loop stepper motor is widely used in various precision instruments, machinery and equipment and automated production lines due to its high accuracy, high efficiency, and high reliability. For example, electronics devices manufacturing, CNC machines ( marking, cutting, engraving, milling, and so on), robots, medical devices, testing equipment, packaging, microelectronics manufacturing, optical inspection instruments, printing machines, SPMs and other factory automations etc..
