In principle, solenoid valves are divided into three types:
1. Direct-acting solenoid valve
Working principle: After plugging in, the electromagnetic coil will form an electromagnetic force, which lifts the closing part from the valve seat, and the valve is in an open state; when the power is off, the electromagnetic force disappears, and the closing part is pressed against the valve seat by the spring, and the valve is in a closed state.
Features: It can work normally in vacuum, negative pressure, and zero pressure environments, but the general diameter will not exceed 25mm.
2. Distributed direct-acting solenoid valve
Working principle: The distributed direct-acting solenoid valve is a fusion of the pilot type and the direct-acting type. When there is no pressure difference between the inlet and outlet, after the power is turned on, the electromagnetic force will successively lift the pilot small valve and the main valve closing part, and the valve will open. When there is a pressure difference between the inlet and outlet and the start-up conditions are met, after plugging in, the electromagnetic force pilots the small valve, the pressure in the lower chamber of the main valve increases, and the pressure in the upper chamber decreases, and the pressure difference is used to push the main valve upward; when the power is turned off, the pilot valve uses the spring force or the medium pressure to drive the closing part to move downward, so that the valve is closed.
Features: Zero pressure difference or vacuum, can also operate at high pressure, but the power is large, must be installed horizontally.
3. Pilot solenoid valve
Working principle: When the power is turned on, the electromagnetic force will open the pilot hole, at this time the pressure in the upper chamber will decrease rapidly, forming a pressure difference of low top and high bottom around the closing part, and the fluid pressure will promote the closing part to move upward, so that the valve is opened; when the power is turned off, the pilot hole is closed by the spring force, and the inlet pressure will quickly form a pressure difference of low bottom and high top near the closing valve part when passing through the bypass hole, so the fluid pressure will promote the closing part to move downward, so that the valve is closed.
Features: The upper limit of the fluid pressure range is very high, and it can be installed at will (must be customized), but the requirements of the fluid pressure difference must be met.
