The thermal shock resistance of clay brick is good, and the fluctuation range is large, generally more than 10 times (water cooling at 1100℃), which is related to the fact that the linear expansion coefficient of clay products is not too large (the average linear expansion coefficient between 20 ℃ and 1300℃ is 4.5×10-6 ~ 5.8×10-6/℃), there is no polycrystalline brick deformation phenomenon and has obvious particle structure.
Clay products belong to weak acid refractory products, with the increase of SiO2 content, its acidity increases.It has a certain ability of corrosion resistance to acid, but a poor ability of alkali.Therefore, clay products are suitable for use as acid kiln refractories.Large clay firebrick used for glass kiln is a single weight of not less than 50kg clay firebrick used for masonry glass kiln.
