The silicon carbide brick is a refractory material made of SiC as the main raw material.Containing 72% ~ 99% SiC.It is divided into clay bound, Si3N4 bound, SiAlon bound, β-SiC bound, Si2ON2 bound and recrystallization silicon carbide bricks.Silicone carbide brick has high thermal conductivity, good wear resistance, thermal shock resistance and corrosion resistance.

According to the different combination ways, the specific production process and performance of silicon carbide brick are as follows:
First, silicon carbide brick combined with silica
All to silicon carbide particles and fine powder, with part of silica, quartz fine powder as binder composition of products, are silicon dioxide combined with silicon carbide products.
Such as the use of 90% different particle size of silicon carbide and 5%-10% of the mixture of silica and calcium oxide powder (less than 0.088mm), the mixing ratio of 8:2 or 9:1.An appropriate amount of organic binder (pulp waste liquid, dextrin, methyl cellulose) was added into the mud, which was pressed and formed by the brick press, dried and fired at 1300 ~1400℃

Clay combined with silicon carbide products are silicon carbide as the main raw material, with clay as the binder fired refractory products.The product has high thermal conductivity, thermal shock resistance and good wear resistance.Used as lining brick for aluminum refining furnace, distillation tank for zinc distillation furnace and cooler for cement kiln.

Three, high aluminum combined with silicon carbide brick
(1) Production technology.Using silicon carbide (SiC 98.32%) and Chenxi mullite as raw materials, the mullite combined silicon carbide brick was made.SiC sand particle size is 8~5mm, 5~3mm, 3~1mm.The mixed fine powder is made of silicon carbide powder and mullite powder, the particle size of which is less than 0.044mm.After batching, the material is mixed and trapped in the mixing machine for 24h, and the material is formed on the vibration pressure molding machine.The blank body was naturally dried for 15 days, dried for 15 days at 30 ~35℃, and baked for 6 days in a kiln at 200 ~350℃.Products are fired in the inverted flame kiln.The maximum sintering temperature is 1500℃, holding for 6 days, and the total sintering time is 10 days.
(2) Physical and chemical properties.The physical and chemical properties of mullite combined with SiC brick are as follows: SiO2 82%, mullite 15%, apparent porosity 17%~19%, volume density 2.54g/cm3, load softening temperature more than 1700℃, compressive strength more than 110MPa, thermal shock resistance (1100℃ ~ water cooling) more than 20 times.This kind of silicon carbide brick can be used for iron outlet of ferroalloy electric furnace and ring brick of blast furnace tuyeres.
