316L stainless steel sheet is a high-quality stainless steel
material with many excellent properties and plays an important role
in multiple industries
Material composition:
The main components of 316L stainless steel plate include chromium
(Cr) 16% - 18%, nickel (Ni) 10% - 14%, molybdenum (Mo) 2% - 3%, and
a low carbon content (usually no more than 0.03%) . This
combination of ingredients allows 316L stainless steel to have
better welding performance and resistance to intergranular
corrosion while maintaining high strength and corrosion resistance.
Excellent corrosion resistance:
It is highly resistant to various strong acids, strong bases, salt
solutions and organic compounds, and can operate stably for a long
time in harsh chemical environments, such as chemical plants,
pharmaceutical factories, etc.
Often used in the manufacture of chemical pipelines and storage
tanks, it can effectively prevent corrosion by chemical substances
Strong resistance to intergranular corrosion:
Due to its low carbon content, the precipitation of carbides at
grain boundaries is reduced, thereby significantly improving the
resistance to intergranular corrosion. This allows the 316L
stainless steel plate to still maintain good corrosion resistance
after welding or heat treatment.
Good welding performance:
It is easy to perform various welding operations, and the quality
of the welded joints is stable and high in strength. When
manufacturing large structures and complex equipment, it can ensure
that the performance of the welded parts is consistent with that of
the base material.
High temperature strength and oxidation resistance:
It can still maintain good strength and oxidation resistance in
high-temperature environments, and is suitable for manufacturing
parts in high-temperature furnaces.
Good cold working properties:
Various parts with complex shapes can be made through cold
stamping, drawing and other processes
Medical industry: commonly used in the manufacture of medical
devices, surgical instruments and implants, etc., because of its
good biocompatibility and corrosion resistance.
Food processing industry: used in food production equipment,
storage tanks and pipelines, etc., to meet the requirements of
hygiene and corrosion resistance.
Marine engineering: such as marine ship structures, equipment on
offshore platforms, etc., can resist the corrosion of seawater.
Electronic industry: used in the manufacture of some electronic
components with high requirements for material purity and corrosion
resistance.
The 316L stainless steel plates we provide strictly follow the
relevant quality standards and specifications of international
ASTM, AISI, JIS, GB, DIN, EN, and undergo rigorous testing and
inspection to ensure that each plate has excellent quality and
performance to meet the various needs of customers.
