Bag dust collection is a common air pollution control technology
used to remove solid particles from industrial waste gases. It uses
a series of bag filters as filter media to release clean gas into
the atmosphere by intercepting and capturing particulate matter.
The following is the basic principle and working process of bag
dust removal:
Principle: Bag dust removal relies on the function of bag filters
to separate particulate matter. Bag filters consist of a series of
elongated fiber bags through which gas passes while particles are
trapped on the surface of the bags.
Filtration process: After the exhaust gas enters the bag dust
collector, it enters the bag chamber after pretreatment (such as
cooling, condensation or pre-dust removal). The exhaust gas passes
through the bag filter, and the particulate matter is trapped on
the outer surface of the bag, and the purified gas enters the bag
chamber through the pores of the bag.
Dust cleaning process: As time goes by, the trapped particles
gradually accumulate on the surface of the bag, forming a dust
film. In order to maintain the normal operation of the dust
collector, dust cleaning operations are required. Cleaning can be
carried out in different ways, including pulse cleaning and
mechanical cleaning. Pulse cleaning usually sprays compressed air
or pulse airflow into the bag to knock off the particles attached
to the surface of the bag. Mechanical cleaning uses a mechanical
device (such as a vibrator) to vibrate the bag to remove particles.
Particulate matter treatment: The cleaned particles are collected
and usually treated and disposed of. Disposal may include
recycling, incineration, landfill or other appropriate waste
disposal methods.
