Plastic pipe flow meter
Flowmeter structure: It mainly consists of a transparent plastic conical tube installed vertically with the small end downward and the large end upward, and a float that can move up and down in the conical tube, which is composed of nuts, pipes, guide rods, stops, etc.
The appearance is as shown in the figure: it is mainly divided into
short tube type and long tube type. According to the connection
method, it is divided into plug-in pipe connection, threaded
connection and flange connection.
The plastic tube float flowmeter has the characteristics of simple structure, light weight, corrosion resistance, not easily broken, non-toxic and odorless, and easy to use. Note: 1. The above is regular traffic, special traffic is also
available. 2. The accuracy level of the flow meter is level 4, with a pressure resistance of ≤0.6Mpa. The medium used is water or dilute acid or alkali with a concentration of less than 30%. The temperature is generally 0℃~40℃, and it can be used up to 65℃ in a short time. |
Precautions
(1) Before installation, the flow meter outlet nozzle should be
disassembled, take out the foam or plastic pipe support in the
meter, and then reinstall the nozzle. Note that the "O" ring should
be installed in the nozzle groove during reinstallation. Inside.
(2) The interface of the flow meter can be connected with a
matching plastic pipe (ABS or PVC) and bonded with special glue.
You can also connect with the plastic flange first and then the
metal flange.
(3) The flow meter must be installed vertically (the angle between
the center of the flow meter and the plumb line does not exceed
5°). The installation height should be convenient for reading the
float. When reading, the line of sight should be horizontal to the
reading position of the float.
(4) The straight pipe section of the upstream and downstream inlets
and outlets of the flow meter should be ≥ 5 times the nominal
diameter of the meter.
(5) If the fluid being measured contains larger particles of
impurities or stolen goods, a filter should be installed upstream
of the flow meter.
(6) If the liquid to be measured is a pulsating flow, causing the
float fluctuation to fail to measure normally, a buffer and setter
of appropriate size should be installed upstream of the flow meter.
(7) Try to use the appropriate flow section of the flow meter to
test the flow rate (the appropriate flow section generally refers
to 40% to 70% of the upper limit flow rate).
