Working Principle:

to be transmitted and received, combined with the sound velocity.

Installation principle
When the ultrasonic liquid level meter is working, high-frequency
pulse sound waves are emitted by the transducer (probe) and are
reflected by the surface of the measured object (water surface).
The refracted reflected echo is received by the same transducer
(probe) and converted into an electrical signal. . The time between
pulse transmission and reception (the movement time of the sound
wave) is proportional to the distance from the transducer to the
object surface. The relationship between the sound wave
transmission distance S, the sound speed C and the transmission
time T can be expressed by the formula: S= CⅩT /2
When installing an ultrasonic liquid level meter, the blind zone
problem of the ultrasonic liquid level meter must be considered.
When the liquid level enters the blind zone, the ultrasonic
transmitter cannot measure the liquid level. Therefore, when
determining the measuring range of the ultrasonic liquid level
meter, a margin of 50 cm must be left. When installing, the
transmitter probe must be higher than the maximum liquid level. The
position is about 50 centimeters. Only in this way can the accurate
monitoring of the liquid level and the safety of the ultrasonic
liquid level meter be ensured.
In actual use, due to poor installation considerations, the liquid
level gauge was submerged in water, causing the liquid level gauge
to be completely damaged.
Features of SGM ultrasonic level meter
Low price, small size and light weight, it can be used for
non-contact level measurement of liquids and bulk solids in food,
chemical, semiconductor and other industries, and can be used for
remote level monitoring and pump control.
Attention should be paid to mechanical installation: the
installation should be perpendicular to the surface of the object
to be measured, avoid being used to measure foam objects, and avoid
being installed at a distance less than the blind zone distance
from the surface of the measured object (blind zone: each product
will have a standard, which will be known with the product) , it
should be considered that the beam avoids blocking materials and
does not meet the filling mouth and container wall. When detecting
large solid objects, the probe orientation should be adjusted to
reduce measurement errors.
