IG-541 mixed gas fire extinguishing mechanism belongs to physical
fire extinguishing method. The gas mixture is released to
extinguish the fire by reducing the oxygen concentration.
Generally, the air in protected areas contains 21% oxygen and less
than 1% carbon dioxide. When the oxygen in the protected zone drops
below 15%, most of the fuel will stop burning. The released gas
mixture reduces oxygen levels in the containment zone to 12.5%,
while increasing carbon dioxide levels to 4%. When the proportion
of carbon dioxide increases, it will speed up the respiratory rate
and the ability to absorb oxygen, and when the fire extinguishing
design concentration in the fire extinguishing system is not
greater than 43%, the system is safe and harmless to the human
body.
System operation process
When a fire occurs in the protected area, smoke, high temperature
and light radiation make the smoke detector detect the fire signal,
the detector converts the fire signal into an electrical signal and
transmits it to the controller, the controller automatically sends
an audible and visual alarm and makes a logical judgment, starts
the linkage device, and sends a system start signal after a delay
of 30 seconds. Start the container valve on the drive cylinder to
release the drive gas, open the selection valve leading to the fire
protection area, and open the container valve of the fire
extinguishing agent bottle group. The fire extinguishing agent of
each bottle group is collected through the high pressure hose to
the collector, and the fire extinguishing agent reaches the nozzle
installed in the protection area through the selection valve, and
the signal feedback device installed on the pipeline acts to
transmit the signal to the controller. The controller activates the
gas release indicator outside the protected zone. When the pressure
in the protected area exceeds 1000pa, the mechanical pressure
relief device automatically opens for pressure relief.
