AC-sprung units operate at 60 Hz, delivering 7200 vibrations per minute, while DC-sprung units operate at 3600 vibrations per minute. The choice between AC and DC is influenced by considerations such as part size, weight, material, and the average weight of parts in the bowl.

In specific cases, specialized lightweight bowls are designed for particular applications. When selecting a vibratory feeder bowl, several factors should be considered.
