The regeneration of waste activated carbon adopts the physical high-temperature steam regeneration method, which is based on the principle of desorbing and converting some volatile organic substances adsorbed in the waste activated carbon into waste gas during high-temperature heating.
Volatiles from the organic compounds are pyrolysed at higher temperatures while the waste activated carbon is activated with a quantitative oxidant, either water vapor or a small amount of oxygen, to restore its original pores as well as creating new ones.
A complete waste activated carbon regeneration system is configured with:

• A pretreatment system in order to screen and separate impurities as well as reducing the ash contained in the recycled activated carbon;
