Description
1. Ordinary carbon steel plate
Ordinary carbon steel plates refer to carbon steel plates with
lower carbon content (less than 0.25%), which are mainly composed
of iron and carbon. It has good plasticity, weldability and
mechanical properties, and is a commonly used material for
manufacturing various mechanical parts and structural parts.
However, due to its low strength, it is suitable for situations
where the static load is small.
2.High quality carbon steel plate
High-quality carbon steel plates refer to carbon steel plates with
higher carbon content (0.25%-0.60%). Their strength and hardness
are higher than ordinary carbon steel. It has good wear resistance,
pressure resistance and abrasion resistance, and is suitable for
manufacturing parts for heavy equipment such as excavators and
bulldozers.
3. High strength low alloy (HSLA) steel plate
HSLA steel plate is a new type of high-strength low-alloy steel
plate with a carbon content of less than 0.25%, but the strength
and hardness are increased by adding other elements (such as
manganese, titanium, chromium, etc.). It has excellent strength and
toughness and is suitable for manufacturing bridges, building
structures and other occasions that need to withstand large loads.
4.Heat-resistant steel plate
Heat-resistant steel plate is a type of carbon steel plate with
high heat-resistant properties and usually contains high levels of
chromium, nickel and other elements. It has good high temperature
resistance and oxidation resistance, and is suitable for
manufacturing high temperature equipment parts such as boilers and
steam turbines.
5.Corrosion-resistant steel plate
Corrosion-resistant steel plate is a kind of carbon steel plate
with good corrosion resistance, usually containing high levels of
chromium, nickel and other elements. It can be used for a long time
in harsh environments and is suitable for manufacturing chemical
equipment, offshore platforms and other occasions that are easily
affected by corrosion.

Advantages
The advantages of carbon steel plates are:
Typical Applications
1. Low carbon steel
Low carbon steel has a carbon content of less than 0.05% and
usually uses cold processing and hot processing. Low carbon steel
has the characteristics of good plasticity, strong weldability,
good ductility, and good impact toughness. It is often used in the
manufacture of automobiles, machines, light industrial products,
etc.
2. Medium carbon steel
The carbon content of medium carbon steel is between 0.25% and
0.6%. Medium carbon steel has the characteristics of high strength,
good toughness, and good cutting performance. Medium carbon steel
can be hardened by quenching and is often used to make axles,
gears, etc.
3. High carbon steel
High carbon steel has a carbon content between 0.6% and 1.5% and
has the characteristics of high hardness, high strength and high
wear resistance. High carbon steel is usually used to manufacture
parts such as knives, springs, and bearings that require high
strength and wear resistance.
4. Ultra-high carbon steel
Ultra-high carbon steel has a carbon content of more than 1.5% and
is usually used to make special tools and knives, such as cutting
tools, saw blades, abrasives, etc.
In general, carbon steel is a widely used steel with good
mechanical properties and processability. When purchasing carbon
steel, you need to choose different types of carbon steel according
to specific uses and requirements.
