Harmonic Testing; What is the significance of harmonic detection and the role of harmonic tester
1. The significance of harmonic detection:
Through professional testing of power quality, we can fully and accurately understand the operation of the entire power supply network system, and can quantitatively analyze the harmonic content, active power usage, reactive power loss, power factor, voltage changes, flicker interference, and three existing power grid systems in the enterprise. Phase imbalance and other specific parameter indicators, input various parameters into the supporting power quality analysis software to form a complete power quality analysis report, which can not only accurately reflect the "health" status of the entire power grid system, but also diagnose the impact on energy saving Based on the problem of power reduction and the extent to which it can be optimized and managed, engineering and technical personnel can provide implementation plans for harmonic control, reactive power optimization, dynamic compensation, etc. to help enterprises achieve safe and stable operation of the power grid system and energy conservation and consumption reduction. The development goal is to promote the reduction of enterprise energy consumption costs and the improvement of economic benefits!
2. The necessity of harmonic testing and evaluation
Whether it is to thoroughly control the harmonics in the system or to perform harmonic isolation and purification of key equipment, it is necessary to understand the specific data of the harmonics in the system, so that we can accurately analyze the effect of harmonic isolation and purification or the accurate cost and price of harmonic control equipment. Therefore, it is more reasonable for users to conduct harmonic testing first and then determine the specific implementation plan.
Because each user unit has a different decision-making mechanism
for harmonic control. Units where harmonics directly interfere with
the operation of the production line attach more importance and
urgency to the control work. Normally, the main leader of the unit
determines to carry out control as soon as possible, and then
personally or arranges for the power equipment to be responsible.
people to contact and implement relevant matters. However, the
harmonic interference existing in some user units has not affected
normal production and operation. There are only some accidental
faults or potential hazards. The unit leaders have not paid enough
attention to it. It is just that the power equipment department
wants to make some attempts to understand. , it is difficult to
determine when the treatment will be carried out, so it is also
difficult for manufacturers that provide professional harmonic
control services to grasp the progress of the project. It often
happens that a lot of technical work has been done, but the
harmonic control project cannot be promoted.
3. Function of harmonic testing instruments
Harmonic testing instrument: refers to the instrument used to
detect harmonics, also called harmonic detector, also called
harmonic analyzer. Most harmonic measurement instruments use the
Fourier transform method to measure harmonics. The premise of using
Fourier transform for harmonic analysis is that the waveform being
analyzed must be a periodic waveform, that is to say, only integer
harmonics can be measured using Fourier transform. Very few
harmonic detectors can detect fractional harmonics. Fourier
transform cannot be used to measure fractional harmonics. The
specific methods of measuring fractional harmonics vary from
manufacturer to manufacturer, and almost all of them are imported
products and developed domestically. There is currently only one
harmonic detector that can measure fractional harmonics.
The harmonic detector is an instrument that monitors harmonic
energy in the power system. The functions are receive/receive
control function and communication mode selection function. When
the voltage or current waveform in the power grid is not an ideal
sine wave, it means that it contains voltage or current components
with a frequency higher than 50Hz. We call current or voltage
components with a frequency higher than 50Hz harmonics. When the
harmonic frequency is an integer multiple of the power frequency,
we call it an integer harmonic. Such harmonics are usually
expressed in terms of order. For example: a harmonic whose
frequency is 5 times the power frequency (250Hz) is called the 5th
harmonic, a harmonic whose frequency is 7 times the power frequency
(350Hz) is called the 7th harmonic, and so on. Most of the
harmonics generated by nonlinear loads are integer harmonics. When
the harmonic frequency is not an integer multiple of the power
frequency frequency, we call it fractional harmonics. Such
harmonics are usually represented directly using harmonic
frequencies.
