When the pilot operated solenoid valve is turned on, the electromagnetic coil generates a force that opens the pilot hole. This action causes the pressure in the upper chamber to decrease, creating a pressure difference that pushes the closing member upward and opens the valve. If the power is turned off, the electromagnetic force disappears, the pilot hole closes due to the action of the spring, and the valve closes.
The direct acting solenoid valve, when powered on, generates a magnetic force that lifts the closing component and opens the valve. When power is cut off, the magnetic force disappears, the closing element is pressed against the valve seat due to the action of the spring, and the valve closes.
The step-by-step direct acting solenoid valve is a combination of direct acting and pilot operated principles. It uses electromagnetic force to open the valve without a pressure difference or with a small pressure difference. When there is a pressure difference, it uses pressure to push the valve. If there is a power outage, it will turn off.
