How does Urinal Flush Control work ?
The operation of a urinal flush control depends on its type: manual, sensor-operated, or foot pedal-operated. Each type has a specific mechanism for initiating the flushing process in a urinal. Here's how each type works
1. Manual Urinal Flush Control:
A manual urinal flush control is typically a lever, button, or handle located near the urinal. Users manually press or pull the control to start the flushing process.
When the user presses the control, it activates a mechanism that opens the flush valve, allowing water to flow from the water supply into the urinal bowl.
The water flow creates enough force to flush away waste and clean the urinal bowl.
Once the user releases the control, the flush valve closes, stopping the water flow.
2. Sensor-Operated Urinal Flush Control:
A sensor-operated urinal flush control uses infrared or other sensor technology to detect the presence of a user.
When a user stands in front of the urinal, the sensor detects their presence and sends a signal to the flush control mechanism.
The control mechanism opens the flush valve, allowing water to flow into the urinal bowl for a predetermined duration.
The water flow flushes away waste and cleans the urinal bowl.
After the preset flush duration or when the user steps away, the sensor detects the absence of the user and sends a signal to the control mechanism to close the flush valve, stopping the water flow.
3. Foot Pedal-Operated Urinal Flush Control:
A foot pedal-operated urinal flush control is a pedal located near the base of the urinal.
When a user steps on the pedal, it activates a mechanism that opens the flush valve, allowing water to flow into the urinal bowl.
The water flow creates enough force to flush away waste and clean the urinal bowl.
Users can control the flush duration by how long they keep the pedal pressed.
Once the user releases the pedal, the flush valve closes, stopping the water flow.
In all cases, the goal of a urinal flush control is to initiate the flushing process to remove waste and maintain cleanliness. Whether through manual interaction, sensor detection, or foot pedal operation, the flush control ensures that the appropriate amount of water flows into the urinal bowl to achieve effective flushing. This contributes to sanitation, water efficiency, and user convenience in restroom facilities.
