A rectangular linear motor is a type of motor that directly drives
a load through linear motion. Its structure is characterized by an
electromagnetic coil directly opposed to a permanent magnet,
providing linear motion without conventional mechanical
transmission components. Due to their high precision, high speed
and high responsiveness, rectangular linear motors are increasingly
used in industrial robots.
Rectangular linear motors have high positioning accuracy and are
capable of sub-micron motion control. This makes it ideal for
industrial robot tasks that require high-precision positioning,
such as precision assembly, automated welding, and painting.
During precision assembly, the robot needs to place parts into a
specified position very accurately. Rectangular linear motors are
able to provide millisecond response times and micrometer-level
accuracy to ensure that parts are accurately placed and mounted.
In precision welding, the robot's motion path needs to maintain
extremely high accuracy, and rectangular linear motors can ensure
the stability and consistency of the weld point position.
