0.22 Micron 23mm Transducer Protector Antibacterial Hydrophobic Air
Filter
A transducer protector (TP) is a dime-size hydrophobic air filter
used in hemodialysis blood lines to keep the blood side of the
circuit separated from the machine side, and to prevent
contamination of the machine by the blood flowing through the
circuit. A transducer protector may be mounted between a drip
chamber and a pressure transducer and are the link between the
dialysis machine and hemodialysis blood lines.
PTFE Membrane filter with 0.22 microns pore size are incorporated
inside transducer protectors, it is a highly hydrophobic membrane
filter, so blood cannot pass all the way through. If the filters
get wet, they prevent air flow. For this reason, wet or clamped
transducer protectors can cause pressure reading errors and TMP
problems. A loose or damaged transducer protector on a pre-pump
arterial drip chamber port could let air into the bloodlines, too.
The biggest risk of wet transducer protectors is infection. The
solution to reduce the risk is replace the transducer protectors
immediately if they become wet.

automated assembly technology and ultrasonically welded without any
glues or solvents used in sealing. And we have automatic testing
machines to guarantee superior quality meanwhile keep the
manufacturing process consistent.
