Serial-connected type medium frequency smelting system comprises of one power cabinet and two furnaces. The power cabinet is equipped with a set of serial-connect resonant dual output systems. Power simultaneously distributed to the two furnace bodies can be adjusted randomly and in a stepless mode, one for insulation and the other for melting, so additional switching devices are not necessary. The resonance design ensures continuous and stable operations of the equipment and it has a wide load matching range. The rectifier part of the power cabinet is designed with an open system, resulting in a high power factor and low harmonic levels.
This design also has benefits in regards to cost savings. Higher utilizing rate of transformer helps to reduce the line fees of the transformer by 15%.
