In the absence of a nitrogen cylinder, over 450 machine models can support the installation of a 30-meter telescopic arm with 2.2 square shell buckets and 1 square grab buckets. By incorporating a nitrogen cylinder, machines above 350 (including 350) can also be outfitted with a 30-meter telescopic arm and a 2.2 square shell bucket. Regardless of whether it's a 350 or 450 machine, adding a 30-meter telescopic arm necessitates increased counterweight for stabilization. For a 350 machine, an additional 8 tons of counterweight is recommended, while for a 450 machine, 4 tons of counterweight is advised.

What is a nitrogen cylinder and how does it work?
A nitrogen cylinder is filled with nitrogen gas. Why nitrogen? Firstly, nitrogen is an inert gas, meaning it is chemically inactive. Secondly, how does installing a nitrogen cylinder allow for the use of a longer telescopic arm? The telescopic arm is heavy, and its downward pressure relies on gravity without requiring additional power support from the excavator. Issues arise when lifting the extended arm, as the weight during loading far surpasses the original arm's load capacity, exceeding the ultimate load capacity of the cylinder and causing difficulties in lifting or slow lifting. Two solutions exist for this problem. Firstly, enlarging the cylinder can lead to complications like high engine temperatures. Secondly, installing a nitrogen cylinder provides a consistent upward lifting force to the extended arm, enhancing lifting capacity while reducing engine load and promoting fuel efficiency.
