Measuring principle
The working principle of ultrasonic level meter is that the
transducer (probe) sends out ultrasonic pulse, when the pulse meets
the surface of the measured medium is reflected back, part of the
reflected sound wave is received by the same transducer, and
converted into electrical signals. The ultrasonic pulse travels at
the speed of sound waves, and the time interval from the pulse
transmission to reception is proportional to the distance from the
transducer to the surface of the medium to be measured.
