Features and Principles
AC gapless metal oxide lightning arrester has excellent nonlinear
volt-ampere characteristics, good response characteristics, no
renewal current, large through-current capacity, low residual
voltage, strong overvoltage suppression capability, dirt
resistance, anti-aging, not subject to altitude constraints, simple
structure, no gap, tight sealing, long life, etc.
This arrester in the normal system working voltage, showing high
resistance state, only microampere current through. It presents low

Role
Lightning arrester is connected between the cable and the earth,
usually in parallel with the protected equipment. Lightning
arrester can effectively protect the communication equipment, once
the abnormal voltage, the arrester will occur action, play a
protective role. When the communication cable or equipment
operating at normal operating voltage, the arrester will not
produce the effect of the ground as a break. Once there is a high
voltage, and endanger the protected equipment insulation, the
arrester immediately act, the high voltage impact current to the
earth, thus limiting the voltage amplitude, to protect the
communication cable and equipment insulation. When the overvoltage
disappears, the arrester quickly restore the original state, so
that the normal work of communication lines.

Lightning arrester types
