introduce
When the car is driving, the four wheels are always jumping up and
down, and the damping and steering will not make the brake drum and
calipers that are covered in the rim also jump. Therefore, it is
impossible to use hard metal pipes for the entire brake oil
circuit. Between the body suspension and the wheels, the metal oil
pipe is replaced by a soft rubber hose. The rubber hose can be
flexed and stretched, so that the pressure can be transmitted
freely to achieve the effect of braking.
This rubber hose is most likely to cause the brake pressure to
weaken. Because the rubber material has considerable elasticity,
when the brake pedal is stepped on, the oil pressure suddenly
increases, and the brake pressure is partially converted into the
outward expansion of the rubber oil pipe, and its inner diameter is
therefore forced to increase. The pressure in the brake oil circuit
drops due to this change. What is the result? As the braking force
becomes smaller, the braking distance increases and the braking
time becomes longer. This does have hidden dangers to automobile
safety, especially in the case of high-frequency and high-strength
braking, the defect of the rubber tube will become more and more
obvious. The solution is to replace rubber hoses with steel brake
hoses. Although the inside of the brake steel hose is still made of
rubber, the outside is bound by a metal braided mesh leather, hence
the name brake steel hose. This metal skin mainly restricts the
expansion of the rubber hose, so that the braking force will not be
lost due to expansion!
The brake steel throat structure is a rubber tube covered with
high-strength steel wire, and a layer of anti-wear layer is added
to the outermost part, which has a stronger anti-expansion force.
Generally, the original rubber hose will swell a little when the
brake is stepped on, which will weaken the initial braking
response. Switching to a steel hose can improve these phenomena.
After installation, you must turn the direction to the limit
position on both sides, confirm that it will not scratch other
parts, and ensure that the brakes are stepped on as much as
possible.
When to replace
When it is found that the braking force of the car has decreased
and the braking distance has increased, it is necessary to consider
replacing the brake steel hose. The brake steel hose is a rubber
tube wrapped with high-strength steel wire, and the outermost layer
is an anti-wear layer, so it has a strong resistance to expansion.
The original rubber hose of the car will swell slightly when
stepping on the brakes, thereby weakening the initial braking
response. After the steel hose is replaced, the situation can be
improved, but after the installation is completed, the direction
should be turned to the extreme points on both sides. Ensure that
it will not scratch other parts and affect the normal operation of
other parts. In fact, the brake is mainly produced by the squeeze
of the brake fluid, which is to make the brake fluid generate
pressure. Therefore, the tubing that wraps the brake fluid is very
important. It must be flexible and heat-resistant, plus considering
the cost. Most car factories use rubber hoses, but steel hoses are
actually used to better function.
