Introduction to parts of brake system
A complete set of brake modification has seven parts: brake caliper, brake disc, brake pads, brake lines , center bell , bracket and screw.
These accessories are special for special vehicles and need to be customized. They play a great role in braking, so we still need to find a professional to install them to ensure driving safety.
What is the center bell ?
The center bell and disc body are generally made of different
materials, with different thermal expansion coefficients. They are
mainly made of 6061/7075 aluminum. In addition, the heating
conditions are also different. For example, the thermal expansion
coefficient of aluminum alloy is very high, while carbon fiber
shrinks by heating. Without a mechanism, they can move relatively,
the braking effect is greatly reduced, and even the disc may be
directly stepped on and cracked.
The center bell and bracket are two very important components in
the modified brake package. The center bell is the part that links
the modified disc to the automobile axle head, and the bracket is
the part that links the modified caliper to the automobile horn.
Both are finished by CNC machine tools with very high precision.
There are also many kinds of processed styles, including surface
color oxidation treatment, and many colors for riders to choose
freely.
Brake precautions
The most common problem in the braking system is the abnormal brake
noise, which many car owners have encountered. Generally, the
abnormal braking sound is that when the vehicle steps on the brake
while driving, the braking system will make a sharp 'metal friction
sound', which often occurs after rain.
If this happens, it is mostly because the brake pad becomes
thinner, the brake disc is worn by the back plate, the brake pad is
hard, and there are foreign matters in the brake pad, which will
lead to abnormal noise. Therefore, when there is abnormal braking
noise, first check the thickness of the brake pad. If the thickness
is OK, slamming on the brake with a few feet may alleviate the
problem of abnormal noise.
Brake parts are consumables. Pay attention to the replacement cycle of brake system parts.
How many kilometers does the brake pad change?
The brake pads need to be replaced every 3 to 6 kilometers. In the
vehicle's braking system, the brake pad is the most important
object. The quality of braking is all determined by the brake pad.
