Welding stud welding
The first is stable arc stud welding. A stable arc process is generated between the end of the stud and the workpiece. The arc is used as a heat source to form a molten pool on the workpiece. At the same time, a molten layer and a plastic zone are formed at the end of the stud. The stud is clamped in the welding torch. The stud is pressed into the molten pool by the spring pressure or other mechanical pressure, and part or all of the molten metal is squeezed out of the molten pool into the ceramic ring forming groove, thereby forming a recrystallized plastic connection or a mixed connection of recrystallization and recrystallization Connector.

The second is unstable arc stud welding. The difference with the former is that the power supply for the arc is a capacitor bank. The capacitor discharges between the end of the stud and the workpiece to realize the stud welding. Because capacitor discharge is an unstable arc process, that is, the arc voltage and welding power source change instantaneously, and the process is uncontrollable.

The third type of short cycle stud welding is short time stud welding. The welding arc is modulated by the current waveform, and consists of two parts: the smaller leading arc current and the larger welding arc current. Therefore, it is short-term stable or unstable arc stud welding.
