Modular Design Easy to Maintain
The X8 propulsion system features a modular design. When it is
damaged, you can change the damaged part like
blades (single or two), the propeller adapter, or the integrated
power combo (ESC+motor) easily and quickly.
Regular Firmware Updates
Free of Charge
You can upgrade the ESC with the Hobbywing USB LINK software, a LCD program box (item sold separately) and a laptop. Hobbywing updates its ESC firmware regularly giving you upgraded features more often when available.
Super Impact Resistance
The high-strength CNC-machined aluminum alloy frame combined with the optimized structure design protect the motor components effectively, make the motor really impact-resistant, and greatly reduce the possibility of structure deformation/malfunction caused by drop or hit.
Integrated & Ready-to-use Propulsion System
The X6 propulsion system, which integrates motor, ESC, propeller
and motor mount (with the optional 30-to-28 tube adapter, it’s
compatible with 28mm&30mm diameter carbon fiber arm tubes)
together, is easy to mount and use.
Note: with the foldable 2388 propeller, the propulsion system is
capable of carrying the load of 3~5KG (that is 18~30KG for a
hexacopter ).
FOC-based PMSM Algorithm Perfect Propulsion System
The FOC (Field Oriented Control)-based PMSM (Permanent Magnet
Synchronous Motor) algorithm, an optimized algorithm for improving
the collaborative performance of the ESC, motor & propeller,
makes the motor-propeller more balanced and creates a propulsion
system features high stability, reliability and efficiency.
Note: comparing with the BLDC motors, the PMSM has a lot of
advantages like low noise, small size, high power density, low
pulsating torque, and high control precision.
Super Waterproof
The X8 propulsion system is waterproof to IPX7 standard. It’s
applicable to almost all the harsh working conditions (for
agricultural applications) like rainwater, pesticides, salt spray,
high temperature, sand and dust. Combined with the outlets at the
bottom of the motor mount.
(note: patented design), you can directly rinse the system with
fresh water after use.
High-brightness LED Indicator
The X8 propulsion system also contains a high-brightness LED indicator, you can choose the light color or disable it. It can provide the information about the working status of the system and send a warning when any abnormal issue occurs, that significantly improves the safety of the system.
High Thrust & Efficiency Propeller
The 3090 propeller made of special high-strength carbon fiber is solid and light, and guarantees great consistency and excellent dynamic balance. The optimized aerodynamic shape and unique blade tip design combined with the optimized electromagnetic design adopted by the motor and the high efficiency FOC (Field Oriented Control) algorithm implemented by the ESC guarantee the high thrust & efficiency of the propulsion system.

Introduction
The X8 brushless power system is a power system capable of carrying
a load of 5~7kg (per
rotor) for agricultural drones. It can provide the thrust of up to
15.3kg and match 30/35mm
carbon fiber tube arms. It’s waterproof an dustproof to IPX7
standard and resistant to
rainwater, pesticides, salt spray, sand, dust, mud, sandy soil,
high temperature and impact. It
also features the algorithm used for optimizing the FOC ESC &
Motor system and making
the system more balanced, multiple protections like power-on self
detection, power-on
abnormal voltage, over-current and motor lock-up, and the real-time
data output function.
Attention
• Always keep your dr one away from crowd, high-voltage power lines
and obstacles, fly your
drone in accordance with relevant safety regulations.
• Never get close to the high-speed r otating propeller &
motor, otherwise you may get hurt.
• Check if all the parts ar e in good condition befor e use. If
there exists any damaged part,
please contact the factory for replacement.
• Check if any scr ew for connecting the parts is loose and the
motors ar e horizontal before
each flight.
• The bore diameter of the arm for the X8 power system is 35mm, if
you w ant to use the
30mm tube, then install the tube adapter (included in the pr oduct
box) into the pr ojecting
tube on the motor mount first.
• You can change the light color of the LED set. In that case, you
need to disassemble the
light cover and slide the DIP switches accordingly.
• You can rinse the motor with fr esh water after each flight to
keep it clean.
Installation of the Power System
• The whole power system has been assembled befor e leaving the
factory, it’s ready-to-use
and you can directly mount it on your agricultural drone as per the
rotation direction
(CW/CCW) marked on the motor.
• The bore diameter (of the arm) is 35mm, if you want to use the
30mm tu be, then tube
adapter will be needed.
• The (Black/Red/White) tri-color cable is for outputting data
& updating ESC firmware,
the (White/Black) bi-color cable is the throttle signal cable, and
the yellow wire is the RPM
signal output wire.
• The data signal wir e is for outputting thr ottle input, throttle
output, motor RPM, input
current, output current, input voltage, capacitor temperature, MOS
temperature, and etc.
• The throttle range of the ESC is fixed at 1100~1940μs.
