The difference between metal oxide film resistors and carbon film resistors
One is reducing, the other is oxidizing.The surface color of oxide
film resistors is mostly gray, with rough surface, rarely blue or
beige. Carbon film resistors are mostly blue in appearance. Beige,
seldom gray.Metal oxide film resistance, low temperature
coefficient, low current noise, moisture resistance,
anti-oxidation, strong overload capacity, long-term stable work,
wide operating temperature range, and metal oxide film resistance
can be formed as required.These Metal Oxide Resistors offer
excellent performance in applications where stability and
uniformity of
characteristics are desired. They provide lower cost alternatives
to Carbon Composition Resistors and General Purpose Metal Films.
Metal Oxide also can replace many low power General Purpose Wire

The construction of resistor (MOF series) shall be as follows:

4 | Connection | The lead wire, which is plated with solder, shall be mounted to the caps by welding process. |
