directly connected to the host.

(4) Confirm that the parallel port in the host BIOS is set to
bidirectional communication.
(5) Confirm that the printer cable complies with the IEEE-1284
(bidirectional signaling) parallel printer cable standard.
The printer cable socket is usually located on the lower right side of the back of the printer. Before plugging in the power cord, you need to confirm that the voltage matches the power cord to prevent excessive current from causing damage to the appliance. After plugging in the power cord, make sure the line is secure to avoid loosening when using the printer. At the same time, the printer cable socket may also be located on the back or side of the printer. The specific location may vary depending on different brands and models.
