This module is used in conjunction with GE/Datex Ohmeda AS/3, AS/3 Compact, or GE Datex Ohmeda S/5 Monitor or S/5 Compact Monitor.
This module uses a gas concentration waveform with a data rate of
25Hz to calculate the end tidal (ET) gas
This module identifies the moment when the concentration of carbon
dioxide is highest in each breath.
If a breathing pause is detected within a given time (e.g. 20
seconds), a breathing pause condition is triggered. During apnea,
ET updates the value to the current concentration of each gas every
two seconds.
The test gas is sent into the module through an electric valve with
a very small internal volume. Depends on its actions
