Most light sources use halogen lamps with a working wavelength of
325-800nm. The service life of halogen lamps is relatively short,
generally only 1000 to 1500 hours. When the luminous intensity of
the lamp is insufficient, the instrument will automatically alarm
and should be replaced in a timely manner. Some biochemical
analyzers use long-life xenon lamps, which can work for several
years with 24-hour standby and a working wavelength of 285-750nm.
Traditional spectrophotometry generally uses pre splitting, which
means that a filter, prism, or grating is used to split the light
between the light source lamp and the sample cup. After obtaining a
monochromatic light that is complementary to the sample through an
adjustable slit, it is irradiated onto the sample cup, and then a
photoelectric cell or photoelectric tube is used as a detector to
measure the absorption of monochromatic light (absorbance) by the
sample.
Most modern biochemical analyzers use post spectral measurement
technology. Post spectral measurement: A beam of white light (mixed
light) is first irradiated onto the sample cup, and then a grating
is used for spectral analysis. At the same time, a column of
light-emitting diodes is arranged behind the grating as a detector.
The advantage of post spectral analysis is that it does not require
the movement of any components in the instrument colorimetric
system, and can simultaneously use dual or multiple wavelengths for
measurement, which can reduce colorimetric noise, improve analysis
accuracy, and reduce failure rates
If in contact with sampling mechanisms, reagent dispensing
mechanisms, stirring mechanisms, etc., it may cause injury or
