Advantages of variable frequency speed regulation in motor
operation
1) Variable frequency speed regulation is easy to achieve forward
and reverse rotation of the motor. Simply changing the switching
sequence of the inverter tube inside the frequency converter can
achieve output commutation, and there is no problem of burning the
motor due to improper commutation.
2) The start-up of variable frequency speed control systems mostly
starts at low speeds and has a lower frequency. The acceleration
and deceleration time can be set arbitrarily, so the acceleration
and deceleration time is relatively gentle, the starting current is
small, and higher frequency start and stop can be carried out.
3) When the variable frequency speed control system brakes, the
frequency converter can use its own braking circuit to consume the
energy of the mechanical load on the braking resistor, and can also
feed back to the power supply grid. However, adding accessories to
feed back to the power grid requires significant investment. In
addition, the frequency converter also has a DC braking function.
When braking is required, the frequency converter adds a DC voltage
to the motor for braking, so there is no need to add another
braking control circuit.
4) A frequency converter can replace a DC engine, and an induction
motor is used at this time. Similar to DC engines, it does not
require brushes, slip rings, etc., and has maintenance and
environmental resistance.
