switch). The product features manageability like SDH/SONET and the

advanced technologies, such as Flexgrid ROADMs, wavelength tunable
optical modules, 10G/40G/100G, the Layer 2 Switch, the OptiX OSN
6800 has a flexible architecture and suitable for broadband
transport.

1. Transparent access:
The OptiX OSN 6800 employs the ITU-T digital wrapper protocol that allows transparent access of various protocols, such as IP/Ethernet, ATM, SONET, FC and ESCON, and services at different bit rates such as 16 Mbit/s, 5 Gbit/s, 10 Gbit/s, 40 Gbit/s, and 100 Gbit/s2.
